Hey guys,

Happy New Year! Twenty-fifteen hey, how the hell did we get here so fast. Is it just me or does it feel like 2014 didn't even happen. I read somewhere that the more new years resolutions you make the more likely you are to feel overwhelmed and flake on them. Which makes sense. So I've had a think and have come up with 5 new years resolutions that i'm gonna try my hardest to stick to this year. In my head putting them in writing legitimises them and makes them a real thing I have to actually commit to so yeah, here we go.

1. Get out more.
I have this thing where going out places (parties, meals, peoples houses for a prolonged period of time, anywhere really) makes me incredibly jittery and feel nauseous, sometimes to the point of actually throwing up. I won't go into it as it's kind of personal but my goal this year is to overcome it. Whatever it is. It's been slowly getting a bit better but I feel 2015 is the year to nip it in the butt. Bye bye house hobo hello social butterfly!

2. Be spontaneous
I am a major micro manager. I love to plan things in advance and know exactly where i'm going and what i'm doing at what time and why. Do any of you feel like this? This year I wanna just go with the flow, roll with the punches, live in the moment. Call it what you will, it's happening.

3. Get my P's.
I'll explain what this means for all you non-Australians reading this. Over here you get your drivers licence in 4 stages. Your L's (Learners permit. You can get this when you turn 16), then your red P's, your green P's and finally your full licence. I'm currently on my L's and to complete them and move on to your P's, you have to drive 120 hours. I got my L's back in November and i've only driven 2/120 or something stupid. If I want to be ready for my P's test i'm gonna have to get a wriggle on.

4. Be serious about school.
This year i start year 11 which means i'm one short year away from sitting the HSC. I've always kind of just cruised through school doing the bare minimum to get me where i want to be but now it's time to pull my finger out. I want to actually do my homework this year, not hurriedly copy someone else's answers on the morning it's due. I've already got a head start with this one and have organised one day a week to go the the library with my friend who's having the same problem and study/complete assignments/do homework etc. I find it's always more effective to do these things with a friend for support.

5. Be healthy
A classic. Every single person every single year plans to become healthier. I don't want to lose weight I just want to live a healthier lifestyle and I plan to start by eating better. I don't mean going on crazy diets/cleanses or eating only salad and quinoa or anything like that, just making healthier choices. For example, instead of having a kilo of peanut butter on my toast every morning have something like vegemite and avocado or almond butter or something. I also plan to get fit and as motivation i'm paying for a gym membership out of my own money to push myself to go and not waste my $18 a week, even if it means only doing one class.

What do you reckon, will I stick them out or do you think i'll have forgotten about them by March like i usually do.

What are your new years resolutions for this year? Share them in the comments and we can all motivate each other like one big motivating family.

Ciao for now,
Alex xx

New Year, New Blog, New Me.

Hey guys,

As you are probably aware, I haven't blogged for pretty much over a year. I'm not sure why, I guess as an introverted 14 year old who was incredibly poor and to be brutally honest (sorry 14 year old me) didn't really have a life, the blogging opportunities were pretty much zip. But I like to think all that's changed. Now I'm 16 and i have a job and a life (a better one than old me at least) and i've been working on my confidence. My whole style, outlook on life and just overall mindset has changed as well, even my face has changed. I'm officially no longer a teenybopper girly girl. So with all that in mind I thought i might give this whole blogging thing another go.

Lets talk blog. I want to start over this whole thing. Give it a full makeover. Background, name, fonts, everything. I also want to change this to just a lifey-type blog, you know just blog about anything and everything, so a lifestyle blog i guess. I don't want to limit it to beauty or whatever and my inspiration dry up like it did last time so I think this is the best option. I'll just be posting photos from when I go out and recipes and inspirational quotes (every blogs gotta have 'em) and stuff.  Maybe even the occasional OOTD or FOTD. If you have any ideas let me know, I'd really appreciate the help!

To be perfectly honest, i'm not sure if this is going to work or not but i promise i'll try my best. I know last time i was super crappy at blogging regularly so i'm not going to commit to a certain day of the week to upload or anything like that just yet, i'll just blog when i have something to blog about for the moment. It's the summer holidays so posts shouldn't be too far between. I think my posts will be more interesting and not boring or forced this way.

That's all from me for now! I hope all of you, or at least some of you, stick with me. I know i'm not the best blogger in the world but i'm certainly trying. I have a few post ideas already so hopefully we'll talk again very soon. Don't forget to follow me on tumblr and instagram for more regular updates on my life and bloglovin' to be notified when I remember to post! (I know i know, shameless plug. it had to be done).

Ciao for now,
Alex xx
